The mission of the North Carolina State Firemen’s Association is to serve our 51,000+ members. We will respond to our member’s needs by using effective means of communication, providing defined financial benefits and developing needed programs.
The North Carolina State Firemen’s Association was chartered in 1887. The NCSFA is served by an Executive Board. The Executive Director is a non-voting member of the Board and serves at the pleasure of the Board.

- 37,340 are volunteers, 11,711 are career firefighters and 2,572 are retired. 6,970 members belong to two or more departments.
