2013 Scholarships Now Available

2013 Scholarships Now Available Online
The 2013 NCSFA Scholarships are available online now, click here to access the applications.
The NCSFA’s scholarship program has been revamped.  Among the improvements to the program is an increase in the amount awarded from $124,000 to $157,500.  It is our hope that we can aid as many of our members as possible and increasing the award amount is a step in that direction. There are a few other changes to the NCSFA’s Scholarship Program as well.  The scholarships are now divided into 4 categories: Career Firefighter, Volunteer Firefighter, High School & Master’s Degree. Also new this year, each firefighter may only apply for one scholarship and the applications must be submitted by mail, not electronically.  More details can be found by visiting our webpage.
Please read the instructions carefully before begnning the application process and let us know if you have any questions, 800-253-4733 or kris@ncsfa.com.
Stay safe.

    • James,

Scholarships will open up on or around Feb. 1st so you have not missed out. Check back on our website then and let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you and have a wonderful week!

      Kris

  2. Vicki Haithcock says:

I have a son in his 1st year of college at NC State. Can he apply while he is in college.

  3. I have been an active firefighter for 23 years and am now looking at going back to school through an online university. I began to fill out an application for the Scholarship only to find that most of the questions do not appear to apply to people in my situation. Is this only for recent high school graduates?

    • The new program has been reworked to rectify that problem. The applications and instructions should be up and ready by Feb. 1 so check back at that time.

      Thank you,
      Kris

  4. I am a volunteer firefighter currently pursuing a master’s degree – which application should I fill out, the one for the Master’s Degree or the one for Volunteer Firefighters?

    Thank you,
    Ashley

  5. Tonia Brantley says:

Any scholarships available for former JR. FF whose parent is still an active Volunteer FF ?

    • Tonia,

If you are a graduating senior in High School then you can apply for that scholarship.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

      Thanks,
      Kris
