Relief fund money is paid to departments by insurance companies doing business within North Carolina for protecting property they insure.
In order to be eligible to receive relief fund monies, you must be a member of the North Carolina State Firemen’s Association, have turned in your Relief Fund Report no later than October 31, and submitted a Fire Condition Report to the North Carolina of Insurance by January 31.
