NCSFA Offices Moving to Raleigh

Thursday, October 19, 2006 will certainly be noted as an historic
date for the North Carolina State Firemen’s Association. A giant
step was taken by the Executive Board that will hopefully propel the
Association into a new era.
After months of exploring possible locations for a new office, the
Board voted to enter into an agreement with the Local Government
Federal Credit Union to lease 3,000 square feet of space for a new
office in the Quorum Center being constructed in downtown Raleigh.
The Quorum Center will house offices of the Local Government Federal
Credit Union, the North Carolina Association of County
Commissioners, the North Carolina Credit Union League, as well as
the North Carolina State Firemen’s Association.

The building is a 15-story mixed-use tower located on Jones Street
in close proximity to the Legislative Building and other
governmental office buildings. The North Carolina League of
Municipalities is located across the street. This will be a 5 year
lease with options to renew.
The Association has chosen to lease their current office space
located on Contentnea Street in Farmville rather than sell the
property.
If all goes according to plan, the move should take place in March
of 2007. This will place the NCSFA in a strategic location that
should enhance its visibility and effectiveness in many arenas. We
are very excited about this move and all of the advantages
associated with being in the Capitol City.
