NFPA Appoints Chief Cash to Board of Directors

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) elected Chief Jeff Cash to its board of directors on June 4th at the NFPA annual Conference & Expo in Boston. His three-year term takes effect upon the close of the conference.

Chief Cash serves as the Fire Chief and Emergency Manager for the City of Cherryville, North Carolina, Fire Department. He has been a member of the department since 1981, previously serving as a firefighter, driver engineer, captain and training officer.

Chief Cash also serves as Deputy Executive Director of the North Carolina Fire Chiefs Association, and as past president of the North Carolina State Firefighters’ Association and the Western North Carolina Association of Firefighters. He also serves on the executive committee of the National Volunteer Fire Council, and is a member of the NFPA Technical Committee on Fire Officer Professional Qualifications.
