Occupation: Commercial Sales Manager for Eastern Building Components

Jack was raised on a farm just West of New Bern on Ipock Lane where he still resides.  As most children do, he always wanted to be a fireman.  That dream came true when he entered the fire service in 1978 with West of New Bern Volunteer Fire Department. 

Since that time he was fortunate enough to go through the line and was elected Chief in 1986 and held that position until 1988 when he was elected President. Jack held that position until 1996 then was elected Vice-President and in 1997 was elected Treasurer, a position he still holds. 

Also being active with the Craven County Fireman’s Association he moved through the chairs in the 80’s.  In 1992, he was appointed to the Eastern Carolina Fireman’s Association Board wich opened the door for a life long goal to serve the NCSFA. 

In 2003, the ECFA voted for Jack to represent them as a director from the East to the NCSFA and have moved through the chairs and look forward in continuing to serve the firefighters of North Carolina.

He lives in New Bern with his wife Jan and two children, Jason and Jackson.
