Occupation: Director of Emergency Services, Forsyth Technical Community College. Chief of Walkertown Fire Department.

Chief Hutchins is a native of Walkertown. Wesley holds an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Fire Protection Technology from Guilford Technical Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Gardner-Webb University. He is a 4th year student in the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program. Chief Hutchins is a Past President Piedmont North Carolina Firefighters Association, a past president of the Forsyth County Fire Rescue Association, and currently serves as President of the North Carolina State Firemen’s Association Executive board. Wesley is a Certified Level III Fire Service Instructor, Fire Officer I, Firefighter II, and EMT.

He lives in Walkertown with his wife Mary, and two children, Mallory and Reid.
